After four years of faithful service, my Piranha Bodyguard knife no longer fires when I hit the button. I can get the blade out if I press the button and flick my wrist, so I’m not too upset, but I’ll see how good their lifetime warranty is.
Here’s a horrible video I made about it earlier this year.
That didn’t strike me as horrible at all. It was better than the simple format talking video you recently posted.
I must have missed what was horrible as well. I don’t come here for special effects, I come here for well thought out opinions and solid information. The pictorial aspect of this video proved to be a useful visual aid.
Have you ever used any of the Microtech knives?
If so how do you think they compare?
I have a couple of the Ultratechs. I like them. I have looked at the piranhas but have never handled one in person. I like the otfs mostly.
I had an Ultratech. It gave me serious problems after only a few weeks/months, then it took them months to repair it, then it broke again the day after I got it back. Compared to four years without a problem with the Piranha…and considering that the Microtech was twice the cost…
Not a horrible video at all. You’ve got a good voice for a voice over, showed what you wanted and almost got me to consider it. I just won’t spend that much for a knife. But then I have no real need for one either.
Well, thanks to everyone who said it wasn’t horrible. I just feel that I have higher production standards now.
