Back in June, I was asked to review the Faxon ARAK-21 upper by the company. I received it in August and just finished up the review.
After a phone call with the owner, I made a followup video discussing some of the features of the upper.

[…] upper receiver got a pretty harsh review over at Vuurwapen blog. It seems the review was bad enough to elicit a call from […]
Need to do some torture tests as well.
not on my dime.
Forgotten Weapons would be even more awesomer if every clip started with
“Today we are looking at the French MAS… what is this, 30?”
“Forty Nine”
“I don’t know what this is… This is an old French rifle”
Never been a fan of any product that is claimed to be all things for all people, and these attempts to combine AR and AK just don’t appeal at all. Neither fish nor fowl. I know some folks have made some acceptable AR/AK hybrids, still just not a fan.
I especially liked your appropriate handling of the AK74! Just drop it, ain’t gonna hurt it.
Got to admit as someone who served with the UK armed forces and used the SA80 and its variants even the AR is front heavy for my liking. Love its reliability but the ergonomics I’m still to get used to. I like the charging location on the ARAK more but a more front heavy rifle over an AR? No thanks
Still my favorite review gun guy!! You kill it with honesty. You made clear and concise points that are hard to argue with. Now faxon is safe because there are endless people obsessed with the whole AR/AK thing and to have both must be better.
Wish you posted more often. How is the new job going at lucky gunner? Or whatever that was you ran off to do?
