Last year, Sig Sauer's P250 lost the ATF handgun tender because of significant reliability issues. Sig's response was to improve the pistol - no, wait, their response was to appeal to the GAO, saying in part that the ATF put too much of an emphasis on reliability. Rob Curtis at GearScout reports on the winner of something called the "USPSA Multigun National Championship". The shooter, Staff Sergeant Daniel Horner, used handloaded (if you can call loads made by the Army Marksmanship Unit "handloads") 155gr 300 AAC Blackout ammo and a 20" upper with a Swarovski scope. If someone offers you a great deal on an MP5 in the next few days...my recommendation would be to pass. However, I'm thinking that by "blanks," the reporter meant Simunitions. Either way, not a great day for LAPD SWAT, and it makes me wonder how the thieves knew where to look for the weapons.
