Steve at TheFirearmBlog has driven a significant amount of traffic to my blog, for which I am very thankful. I had the chance to thank him in person at SHOT, where we had dinner and an informal meet and greet, along with other gun bloggers, thanks to an industry sponsor. He’s a really nice guy – and pretty interesting to talk to as well.
He’s sold ownership of his blog, but will remain in charge as editor-in-chief. I wish him the best of luck with this pretty exciting endeavour.

I’m surprised all the comments on his blog are so positive. Unless he purposely deleted the negative ones. The truth is that gunsforsale will turn what was once a nice personable blog (such as your own) into an impersonal capitalist machine. Firearm blog was in my top5 along with everydaynodaysoff, saysuncle, sharpasamarble, and yours. Hopefully you, or the rest of those guys don’t sell out, or us readers are in trouble.
I’m hopeful that GFS allows Steve to maintain good control over The Firearm Blog, as it’s a great resource and a daily read for me. I, too, have benefitted from the traffic he sends my way.
Steve has put in a lot of effort to be neutral, if GFS doesn’t allow TFB to stay that way, I’d be surprised it he doesn’t quickly leave.
