To celebrate a full year of taking high speed video, here's a montage of some of my favorite 1000fps high speed video clips.

Marlin Papoose Video Review
The Marlin Papoose is a fun to shoot and quite accurate takedown .22. It's easy to have with you almost anywhere you can carry a backpack. Cost is approximately $250 and it weighs 3.25lbs. What's not to like?
Glock Beavertail Test Update
Here's the 3 month update on the Glock beavertail. The original video can be found here. I plan on making another video in approximately 3-4 months, as I get more time with the weapon. I'd like to thank GunsForSale for providing the 9mm and .40 S&W ammo used for this video, and Glock for the beavertail backstrap.
Vuurwapen Blog Vendors
I thought I'd write a brief article about the "vendor list" you see on the right side of the blog. I try to be pretty cautious when it comes to recommending a vendor, product, or service. I don't like wasting my money because I made a purchase off bad information, and I don't think anyone else does either. The vendors you see there are either companies I've dealt with personally for years, or companies that are owned/run by people I consider to be of good character. They're listed in alphabetical… Read More
Rainier Arms XTC
After putting quite a bit of 5.45 and 5.56 through the Rainier XTC over the last 9 months, I feel pretty confident in saying that it's the best muzzle compensator value on the market.
Fox News Gets Weapon-Related Article Wrong Again
I like Fox News. But whoever they have writing about the military and/or weapons for the military either doesn't have a clue or doesn't care enough about their job to do some basic background work. I've written about it before. And this time, they're writing about the USMC IAR, which is made by HK - but the video they embedded on the page is from FutureWeapons, and talks about the LWRC IAR entry, which was not selected by the USMC. Aside from the obvious error - using FutureWeapons as an… Read More

AR-15 Carbine Action Spring Performance Differences
In the past, I have used high speed video to analyze various aspects of AR-15 operation. Today, I did some testing at the range with several action springs. This is intended to be an ongoing test, so all three action springs were brand new. They are: - Tactical Springs/Sprinco "Blue" recoil spring - Brownells M4 Recoil Spring - Chrome Silicon - Brownells AR-15/M4 Recoil Spring The test weapon was a 16" carbine gas AR-15 with a .063" gas port, H buffer, 5.56mm NATO chamber, M16/Auto bolt carrier, and AR-15 fire… Read More
More Vuurwapen Concepts Produced Videos on the GunsForSaleDotCom YouTube Channel
As regular readers of this blog know, I went to Europe a few months back and was able to tour a number of firearm manufacturers as well as attend the IWA trade show. The videos taken on this trip have been posted on the GunsForSaleDotCom channel. I think that a number of the folks who are only aware of VuurwapenBlog on YouTube might not know about these videos, so I put together a little montage of teaser footage. I'm spending a good bit of time working on the GunsForSale videos,… Read More
New M4 Comparison Chart
Rob_S, creator of the oft-discussed spreadsheet comparing M4 rifles from various manufacturers known simply - and ominously - as "The Chart," has released a long-awaited new version which includes more testing, features, and is based on a survey of manufacturers. This "new chart" includes Accurate Armory, Bravo Company, CMMG, Colt, Daniel Defense, LMT, Noveske, SIONICS, Spike's Tactical, and Stag. Olympic is also listed, but apparently didn't provide any information other than their telephone number.
