In this video, I shoot three different Kahr handguns back to back. All are loaded with standard pressure ammunition, in the heaviest (standard) bullet weights available for the caliber - 230s in the .45, 180s in the .40, and 147s in the 9mm. Although the CW40 actually "felt" more controllable than the CW45, you can see in the video that the CW40 had more muzzle rise. The CW9 was much easier to control than both of the larger handguns.

Coming Out of the Closet – So To Speak
I now work full-time for LuckyGunner. If you like what I do here, you'll like what will soon be coming from them (perhaps I should say "us"). Regular blog readers and YouTube channel viewers might be interested to know how this will affect the blog. I don't foresee any changes in format, quality, or objectivity. Although the blog is what first put me on their radar, it isn't part of the deal, and it remains for me to use as I see fit. I first met with some LuckyGunner folks… Read More
Identify That Pistol
There are three Kahr pistols in this video - 9mm, .40, and .45. Which is which?
My Piranha Bodyguard Knife Broke
After four years of faithful service, my Piranha Bodyguard knife no longer fires when I hit the button. I can get the blade out if I press the button and flick my wrist, so I'm not too upset, but I'll see how good their lifetime warranty is. Here's a horrible video I made about it earlier this year.
Kahr CW9…An Early Christmas Present
...for my dad, that is. He won't officially receive the Kahr CW9 until Christmas, but we went to the range yesterday and fired approximately 200 rounds of various 147gr JHP (Gold Dot, Ranger T, Ranger Bonded, HST, Federal Tactical Bonded) as well as another 50 or so mixed FMJ of all weights - it functioned perfectly. Recoil was noticeably less than the CW45, although it still exhibited some degree of what I would call "trigger guard slap."
Male Thoughts on the Flashbang Bra Holster
Initially, I was content to leave discussion of the flashbang bra holster to female bloggers. This was for several reasons: - Number one, I don't like to discuss products that I have no experience with. - Number two, I didn't really think I'd ever get any actual experience with this product. - Number three, I don't think that I have a very large female audience, so it didn't seem like a pressing issue when I first heard of the product. Recently, though, I spent some time with someone who was… Read More
My Christmas Wish – No More AR-15 Manufacturers
Dear Santa, I haven't asked for anything from you in a long time, mainly because my life is pretty good and I don't really need anything. This year, though, I'd really like for my wish to come true. Please prevent new AR-15 manufacturers from starting up. I know it's a terribly anti-free-market thing to wish for, but I'm getting really tired of all the new AR-15 companies out there. It was hard enough when we only had a few dozen to choose from - now, everyone with an LLC and… Read More
Kahr CW45 Initial Impressions
After 24 hours with the Kahr CW45, here are my initial thoughts. For $355 shipped, it looks like a great deal. It's not for the faint of wrist, though.
I’m Thankful For a Good Shooting Range
At the moment, I feel blessed to have a great range near where I live. The facilities are basic, but that's just fine with me - and the ranges themselves are generously sized, allowing me to shoot while moving if I so desire. The longest rifle range is just 200 yards, but if I feel the need to shoot farther than that, another nearby range offers 1000 yard shooting. While the personnel at these ranges are extremely safety-conscious, and I don't want to give any other impression, they are unlikely… Read More
The Citizen’s Armory Has a New Website
After a site update rendered the "shopping cart" portion of his webstore, The Citizen's Armory, useless, my good friend "Two-Liver" had to manually create a new site, which took a week to complete. I'm happy to report that everything's back up now, and his site looks a heck of a lot spiffier than it used to. If you haven't seen TCA, you should know that they sell, among other things, small parts for ARs and Glocks - and ship them for very low prices. Also, if you notice that some… Read More
